Sunset Knoll Improvements

The Lombard Park District received a $400,000 grant from the Open Space Land Acquisition Development (OSLAD) which is going to be used for improvements and development at Sunset Knoll. This is the current plan for the improvements of the park.

Some changes include:

• two regulation soccer fields
• paved walking paths
• splash pad
• picnic shelter
• bean bag courts
• accessible baseball spectator areas
• basketball courts/hockey rink
• two fitness stations
• council ring
• interpretive trail

7/27/10 : Board of Park Commissioners approve low bids

8/9/10 : Construction begins

8/24/10 : Commissioner walkthrough of construction
