Zero-Depth
Sites
Zero-depth skating areas are man-made ice rinks on land.
Madison Meadow at Lilac Way and Lodge Ln.
Lombard Common at St. Charles Rd. and St. Charles Pl.
Lombard Lagoon at Grace St. and Marcus Dr.
The Park District will attempt to have zero-depth rinks available
by late December, weather-permitting. Please note that several days
of severe weather are required before ice preparation begins in
order to establish a 2 frost depth in the ground. Lombard
Lagoon, Lombard Common and Madison Meadow zero-depth rinks are lighted
until 10 p.m.
Ice Skating
Because ice skating may result in injury, and because the Park Districts
skating areas are unsupervised, residents who use them skate at
their own risk and assume full responsibility. Please remember that
surface conditions on all ice rinks are often misleading, therefore,
the Lombard Park District urges skaters to exercise caution and
obey all posted signs.
Sledding
The Lombard Park Districts sledding hills are located at Four
Seasons and Sunset Knoll. Sledding hills are unsupervised and are
reserved for sleds or inner tubes only (no skis or toboggans). Please
note that sledding may result in injury. Anyone using Park District
sledding hills does so at his/her own risk.
Cross-Country Skiing
Cross-country skiing enthusiasts may take advantage of over 300
acres of open space suitable for skiing. The Park District does
not provide equipment or supervision for cross-country skiing. Anyone
cross country skiing on Park District property does so at his/her
own risk.
