The Lombard Park District’s Early Childhood program provides an environment for children infant-6 years of age, where one can learn through play, craft, song time, story time, and hands-on activities. There are a variety of different types of Early Childhood classes such as parent/tot, music, art, imagination, drop-off, and more.

Children must meet the class age requirement by the first class. Children must be able to use the toilet independently if attending a program alone. If a toileting accident occurs, parents will be called to change the child. Children may attend class in a pull-up, but parents must stay in the building to change the child if necessary.

Childcare Services

Childcare service for ages 8 weeks to 5 years is offered during morning parent/tot and fitness classes at Sunset Knoll Recreation Center. Childcare is designed for siblings who may not be the appropriate age to attend the Parent/Tot program, or so parents can drop off children while attending a session. You may register for a per session fee or pay a $3 per hour drop-in fee. Parents must remain in Sunset Knoll Recreation Center. Childcare is not available during summer.
